Behavior Technician/ Registered Behavior Technician

Autism, Advocacy, and Intervention is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team as part-time or full-time Behavior Therapists (BT/RBT). We are seeking candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong work ethic. 

In this role, the Behavior Therapist (BT/RBT) will use clinical knowledge and skills to implement evidence-based treatment plans, one-on-one instruction, and interventions for clients. You will take notes about behaviors and follow the learning plans set by the supervising BCBA/APS. The best part is that you get help to help clients reach their full learning potential. This can be an emotionally taxing role, but it is also extraordinarily rewarding. You will be part of a team that helps people achieve milestones and makes a large impact on many lives. 

The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule, as our clients’ needs may require schedule changes on short notice. They are able to maintain a regular, reliable, and predictable attendance schedule while understanding the possible impact of client cancellations and changes. Have a willingness to become certified and/or stay up-to-date on RBT certification. While having motivation to grow as a professional, dedication to ABA therapy, and interest in pursuing a supervisory role in the future.

Qualifications/Attributes

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a consistent demonstration of sound judgment
  • Be positive and have an approachable demeanor
  • Be adaptable in a learning and family environment
  • Fun, flexible, caring, and compassionate
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent
  • Pass a background check and an abuse registry check
  • Be committed to the cause!
  • Must be available to work weekdays
  • Willing to become an RBT and/or maintain certification
